About Us

Conquest Sports (Aust) Pty Ltd was established in 1982 to take on the importation and distribution of Converse shoes and clothing in Australia.  Today, Conquest is one of the longest serving licensees in the Converse global business and has grown to become one of Australasia's largest independent distributors of international athletic and lifestyle brands.  Conquest Imports NZ Pty Ltd was established in 1992 to import and distribute Converse shoes and clothes in New Zealand. 

Authentics Australia Pty Ltd, a sister company to Conquest, commenced trading in 1994, initially as a licensee of the NBA, AFL, NFL and NBL, but later as the distributor of a number of international brands, including; Sperry Top-Sider, Keds, Saucony, Munchkin and Airwalk for the Australian, New Zealand, Pacific Islands and Sri Lanka.

Today, Authentics continues its long association with these brands and has also added a retail operation that runs stores throughout Australia and New Zealand.  This retail operation also incorporates the online division and offers consumers a comprehensive range of Converse shoes.

Combined, our companies distribute these, and other brands, to over 700 retail stores throughout Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific.

The group remains a family owned operation, and has grown to employ over 500 people in both wholesale and retail positions across the company.  The group has its headquarters in Mitcham, Victoria with offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and Auckland.
